By creators for creators: We Are Era is bringing back the creator festival VideoDays with a new concept

VideoDays Festival will return on 6-7 September in Cologne, after a five year pause of the creator and influencer event. We Are Era is bringing back the event under the motto “By creators for creators”, re-opening the festival with a new concept and a strategic reorientation. The live event will focus primarily on networking and exchange between creators, communities, platforms and the creator economy industry, with the highlight being an award show which will celebrating outstanding creators in the industry.

“Our mission is to establish a new meeting place in the long term for the creator economy in Cologne, which embodies today's zeitgeist. A place that brings together all target groups without exception and across all platforms. A place without a stadium atmosphere and hours of queuing for an autograph, but a triad of proximity, exchange and experience density. We want to dare a new start, back to the roots, and invite all interested parties to become part of this movement. Of course, we are aware of the challenge. But at the same time, convinced of the potential of a revival with new energy at the Cologne location," says Tobias Schiwek, CEO of We Are Era and organiser of VideoDays Festival.

VideoDays Festival last took place in 2017, and since then, creators and the creator economy has become mainstream. For the relaunched VideoDays Festival, We Are Era will bring the zeitgeist of the industry to life with new content and an atmosphere for all target groups, regardless of age. Visitors will be able to experience a varied programme with different themes. Creators from genres such as gaming, education, DIY, travel and lifestyle are invited to talk about their careers, challenges and plans in Q&A sessions with their communities. In other programme items, industry experts will shed light on the status quo of the digital world in master classes, keynotes and panels and provide inspiration to follow. Industry partners and creators will have the opportunity to network and get to know each other in a special lounge.
